Where Joy & Uncertainty Meet: This is how I move now.

Monthly Love Letter for June 2025

Dear June,

You were a month of sun-drenched lands and soul-filled reunions… full of long-haul flights to Dubai, Cyprus and London, where I found myself wrapped in the warmth of soul friends and the kind of celebrating that only deep connections create.

There’s something different about travelling in my 30s. I’m no longer just going with the flow of what I should see or do. I no longer feel the pressure to chase the landmarks or fill every hour with plans.

Instead I feel more drawn to the in-between spaces… to wander without a plan… to follow the energy of the day… to rest just because I want to… to discover what’s meant for me rather than seek what’s expected. And I realized that sometimes the best discovery is stillness… the kind that comes from lounging by the water, soft air brushing against my skin, doing nothing but being.

But of course I still intentionally spent time to search out the best matcha lattes and thoughtfully curated shops that bring me excitement in ways many people couldn’t understand.

June taught me the duality of presence in a whole new ways… how I can feel grounded in joy one moment, then swept up in the tides of “what ifs” the next… big, swirling, sneaky ones that made time feel sticky. Although I wasn’t stuck, but I wasn’t neutral either. I was somewhere in the middle, trying to soften the edges of the overwhelm while still choosing to show up for joy.

There were moments when time felt beautifully suspended in laughter and sunshine… and others where it stalled under the weight of overwhelm and uncertainty. Both felt real. Both asked me to trust.

June, thank you for showing me what it feels like to hold both.

To be in celebration and uncertainty.

To move slower, rest deeper, and trust what’s unfolding… especially when I can’t see it all yet.

So July, I’m wondering…

What might shift if I allowed joy to be the answer, even when I don’t yet know the question?
